Hiring for student employee openings in the Libraries and Learning Commons usually takes place around the beginning of each new academic year (July/August).

Student employee positions:
Academic Technology Specialist:
ULV undergraduate students who support students, faculty and staff in the use of makerspace, academic, and educational technologies such as WebEx, Blackboard, Zoom, Camtasia Studio, and SnagIt
Communication Specialist:
ULV undergraduate students who assist in the promotion of Learning Commons Events, Initiatives, and ongoing Learning Commons projects
Data and Assessment Specialists:
ULV students who support the management and reporting of data (ie. cleaning, organization, analysis/reporting, visualization)
Graduate Consultants:
ULV graduate students who offer drop-in support as well as student appointments via online, e-tutoring, and face-to-face modalities; supports undergraduate and graduate populations
Information Specialist:
ULV undergraduate students who offer customer service and front desk support for students, staff, and faculty members
Peer Consultants:
ULV undergraduate students who offer drop-in support as well as student appointments via online, e-tutoring, and face-to-face modalities; supports undergraduate and graduate populations
Student Learning Assistants:
ULV undergraduate and graduate students who offer support inside and outside the classroom via group sessions, workshops, supplemental instruction, etc. Student Learning Assistants are tied to particular courses and/or campus programs/departments
